What is Plounix?

Plounix is a web-based financial literacy platform developed to address the low financial literacy, limited access to learning tools, and poor money management habits among Filipino young adults aged 18 to 25.

The platform integrates artificial intelligence, interactive learning modules, and practical digital financial tools to make learning engaging, personalized, and culturally relevant.

At the heart of Plounix is Fili, an AI-powered financial assistant with real-time web search capabilities. Fili provides personalized guidance, helps users create savings goals, offers budgeting advice, and delivers learning prompts based on current Philippine economic trends.

About the Study

Pioneering AI-assisted financial education for young Filipinos

This research, conducted under the University of the Immaculate Conception – College of Computer Studies, explores how artificial intelligence can improve financial literacy and decision-making among Filipino youth.

Participants aged 18–25 receive free access to Plounix's comprehensive platform, which includes the AI assistant Fili, interactive learning modules, and digital financial tools.

The study utilized the Iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Learn–Apply–Reflect (LAR) educational framework to ensure continuous improvement and user-centered development.
